Well, now it happened to me, too. This exact problem.by guitarist - Tips and Deals
Some of the pain descriptions that emerge from swapping stories with kidney stone victims can get pretty colorful. Most inevitably involve being on hands and knees screaming and crying in some god-forsaken emergency room somewhere. It's radical stuff! The kind that would make you sell your own grandmother for a single drop of morphine. I'd rather have my spine removed with a pair of pliers inby guitarist - Tips and Deals
Rick-o, where was this couple of seconds of pain you described? Location. Where did it originate? Even when a very small stone, barely visible to the eye, emerges from kidney and starts a long, agonizing, bloody path from the very narrow channel, the ureter (where the pain is, in your back where your kidneys are, not your front, and not your bladder) it definitely doesn't last only a moment.by guitarist - Tips and Deals
They say if you are fortunate enough to capture the stone for inspection they can determine if it's calcium or (whatever the other kind is) and the information can be somewhat useful. Most stones, if I remember correctly, are calcium. And this is ordinary. Silvaros, the Amazon-bashing is A-okay, the back-and-forth discussion. My comments were not aimed at you, but for the original poster, and this introductory comment: " I just want a small coffee bean grinder and can't seem to find any other provider than Amazon." (laughter) Followed by the familiar (fill in name of random corporation) boilerplate script. I read it fromby guitarist - Tips and Deals
Rewind: This "I can't buy a coffee grinder becuz Amazon monopoly" premise is cringe-worthy standup comedy. If you want to make anti-Amazon grievance speeches, feel free, but i'd rather buy you an affordable electric coffee grinder from Ace Hardware,10 blocks from my house, and mail it to you, than read an excuse to complain about Amazon as silly as this.by guitarist - Tips and Deals
Did you have it yet? I'm checking back, after a few weeks, to pick up on the thyroid thread. Re: The surgery. They tell you it's routine, because it is routine. The reason you're cynically saying "it's never routine" isn't because that's true (it's not) you're saying it because it's your neck, not someone else's. That's understandable! It's only "routine" if it's someone eby guitarist - Tips and Deals
Mr. Lynn, that hand-surgery description, the rod, qualifies you as a bonafide medical badass. Good story to freak your friends out with! I'm less squeamish than I used to be, but I wouldn't want to be awake for that, and watch it. Speaking of which, I've had to manage a bulging disc in my neck, and the pain that radiates down my arm. Your description, the vivid imagery, old black-and-white war movies, the long knife, yikes! I understand, in fact, I think there are certain kinds of surgery--based on what part of the body--that stir up almost Jungian archetypes, deep-seated dreamlike fears. Not unlike how all humans in all cultures have identical fears of things like, snakes, canine bites (nightmares about being bitten or attacby guitarist - Tips and Deals

The Elgato HD box you linked in your first post can work, but first you need a cable box with analog outputs such as component or composite. I haven't thought to look at my Comcast HD Cable Box to see what kinds of input/outputs it has. I'm not hopeful, but I'll look. Thanks!by guitarist - Tips and Deals
There are more solutions listed as for PC's running Windows. If in the end, it's still taking analog, then it doesn't matter what kind of 'solution' it is. And if I got EyeTV software, I wouldn't have any reason to go looking for some pc-centric 'card' or extra hardware or buy a windows machine, or run windows on a mac, if none of them are decoding encrypted digital cable signals. This is discouraging. So, now I wonder: When we see YouTube videos of segments of news shows--not the ones provided by networks, but amateur-user captured video news clips--how do they capture it? Are people somewhere in America still getting analog signals, and those are the only ones getting the original captures?by guitarist - Tips and Deals

It's been several (okay, quite a few) years since I used one with a Mac, mine was an El Gato, and it worked okay. What's good these days? I want to use it, connected to a laptop, or desktop (not sure which Mac yet) to capture segments of news and entertainment broadcasts, then edit on my Mac, then upload them to YouTube. Funny that you said, "we" -- as if we collaborated on a project to design them. I'm pretty sure none of us were involved in the development of e-cigarettes. QuoteFilliam H. Muffman WordPress can be excellent for managing basic content, user feedback, and frequent updates. With any software like this, you need to stay up to date on exploits and download patches. I have heard it can get very tedious for some basic functions that are much better handled by CMS. It really depends on your long term goals for the site. Download patches? this assumesby guitarist - Tips and Deals
I'm a regular WordPress user, as well as a reader of WP sites, as they appear in my Dashboard. I generally like the look, but being more of a traditionalist, prefer a more structured site. Could you elaborate? The comment confuses me because there are thousands of WordPress formats and templates, many of them radically different, spanning a wide range. A lot of variety. A good place to look for contrary evidence to the romantic myth of Europeans bringing never-before seen human wreckage, disease, and warfare to an idyllic, peace-loving primitive new world is anthropology and archaeology. I predict that within a few years, that'll replace (what's left of) the legacy of Columbus, and public school textbooks will elevate the association between Syphilis and Columbus, so that the two are synonymous. Any alleged association between Columbus and navigation, exploration, or historic role in discovering the new world will either have been successfully erased, or will be listed somewhby guitarist - Tips and Deals
QuoteBlack My eyes suck these days and I still find the 11" perfect. Re: things slowing you down--- I'd pin it all on your spinny-type hard drive. It will be worlds better with the most underspecc'd MBA. That's the other paradox: When I first bought the Mac Mini, I immediately maxed out the RAM--from 4 to 8--and added one of those hybrid drives, for more storage and better performance. Quotethermarest Since you spent so long with a laptop plugged in to an external display, and seem to like that, I'd say 11" is the way to go. More portable when you want that, super light on the lap, and when you want more screen just plug in (unless you use SD cards frequently, then the built-in on the 13" would be quite convenient). mattkime, I use both of those utilities! Adblock, and ClicktoFlash. And yes, I do find myself with multiple tabs open, when working furiously on deadlines, and release some, then accumulate again. I haven't owned a new laptop since 2006. When my aging '06 2.33 GHz MacBook Pro's display failed, and I didn't want to pay to have it fixed--I made it into a 'desktop' computer, attached display, mouse, external HDs, keyboard. Then bought a Mac Mini to replace my aging iMac. The old laptop makes a good secondary stationary computer.
