Sorry, but a photographer not associated with anyone on the team or the league taking photos of kids is creepy. Hillary as a celeb is fair game. Her kid isn’t, especially with all the pervs out there.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals
Having returns at the front of the store is an attempt to reduce fraud. If one has to walk thru the store to get to returns, some people pick up an item they already bought and use their receipt to return it. Directing people to a return right inside the door helps deter this.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals
If the property has a chimney or features that are special, you should involve other experts. Consider having the sewer pipe scoped with a camera to check integrity. The idea of two inspectors is a good one. Make sure both have qualifications. There are a lot of shady ones out there.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals
I use a VPN that normally connects to servers within the US. However, I can choose to connect to their servers in any place that they offer connections in. This works for most browsing and viewing needs but not all. My primary reason for the VPN though was for use with financial and other websites that I want to better protect data transmission.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals
To clean a microwave put a large wet sponge or towel and let the microwave run for a few minutes to create a nice steam bath. Then use another wet towel or sponge to clean. Works pretty well.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals

I still don't understand why disruptive or violent students aren't just removed from schools. Put them in smaller, more controlled settings. If they don't change behaviors, move them onto something else. These kids ruin school for all the others and set the expectation that one can behave however they want with little consequence. This leads to the root cause of many of our societal issues today.by macphanatic - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
No issues with my Ecobee. Homekit integration is nice. The remote temperature sensors are a nice feature for my house. These sensors can be used to run HomeKit automations with the help of the Eve app. My BIL who can get Honeywell and most other connected thermostats at a discounted price went with a retail price Ecobee based upon his experiences with the others.by macphanatic - Tips and Deals
When I got a new system this summer, I asked my contractor about electrostatic filters. He said he would sell one to me if I really wanted it. He suggested a 4 inch thick replaceable filter and told me to buy the filters from Amazon, HD or Lowes. Point being, he could have made money selling me the electrostatic and made no money from selling me on just using good replaceable filters. In his opinby macphanatic - Tips and Deals
Bear spray may be more effective that pepper spray. There are numerous cases where pepper spray has been ineffective. There's a reason that a lot of police departments have gone to tasers as they are more effective, especially against those that are under the influence of drugs, etc. Even tasers aren't 100% effective and there are ways to quickly defeat them if one knows what to do. Open cabinet doors under sinks. Make sure that garden hoses are disconnected from spigots. Shut water to the spigots off inside and open outside spigot to allow water to drain. Allow water to trickle from faucets and shower/tub fixtures. Close off rooms that don't have plumbing fixtures and aren't needed to be used. The idea is to try to maintain heat in those that either have water orby macphanatic - Tips and Deals
I used to use Grease Relief for ring around the collar and general grease stains. It did a phenomenal job. Not sure why it's no longer sold - assuming some hazardous ingredients were the issue. Zepp makes a laundry pretreat for oil and grease that works really well. Dawn dish soap also works well in some cases. To deal with the hair, can they wear a snug cap with their hair inside it? QuoteC(-)ris Quotebazookaman For running the cables, I have this or a version it on almost every TV in my house... And although not a soundbar, I mounted my center channel speaker using l brackets flipped upside down so they mount to the wall behind the speaker then screw to the bottom. Practically invisible. I have a flush mount, but it's a pain to access the various connections on the back. So, I bought this mount. I can pull the tv out to connect wires, etc and then push it back. May not go back to the wall as close as a flush mount, but it's much easier for making connections I'm currently using it for a 32 inch tv that is older and heavier than my new 55 inch.
