If this is the same one that I am using, I have had good experiences with them and their customer service has been excellent. It has been a while since I talked to them so that might have changed. Based on past and current rates and services I would highly recommend them.

Has anyone else had the Doonesbury.com redirect to uexpress? I noticed it several days ago and it still does it. I tried both Safari and Firefox with the same result. The downforeveryoneorjustme site says it is not just me. What is going on?

I check in about twice a day, but I rarely log in. Maybe others do the same. It is always interesting but I don't often have anything to contribute. Screen is nice but I don't really notice much difference. It is (obviously) a bit bigger and definitely sharper. The display resolution is somewhat smaller but not bad. I tried changing the menu bar in the Accessibility panel to "Larger" and that brings it back to about what I am used to. I don't know if I will leave it that way or not. But when I tried the update, it would not work until I did a re-boot and tried again. Then it went just fine. I have a Pulsar Solar that I have worn for probably 20+ years. It has never been wound nor has the internal battery been replaced. Works like a charm. (Exact date of acquisition estimated.)

Yes, you are right. It is time to get a new scanner. I don't have a lot of use for one but it is nice to have one on hand for occasional operations. I just thought that if I could get the old one to work with newer operating systems it would do the job in a pinch. Thanks again to all who had suggestions. It is one of the beauties of this forum.

I checked Silverfast and they do not seem to have anything for my scanner listed in the system requirement compatibility list as far as I can tell. Thank you for your efforts. I think it is time to chalk this up as finished.
