All visible ice was removed from coil area and drain before starting. Small amount of hot water poured into drain to thaw blockage. I could see where something might be plugging the vent to the fridge. I didn't feel much cold coming down through the vents. There was ice buildup in the freezer and the fridge before I moved it down to the basement, but I think it was all gone before i fired it back up. Freezer works fine. Have it at the recommended setting and its holding at zero temp. It was at -20 before I set it back to the recommended setting. Discovered my "temporary for now" fridge I've had for a year or two has been slowly leaking onto my kitchen floor and getting into the subfloor. Vinyl flooring is cheap and need of replacing anyway, so I decided to move the fridge to the basement, while looking for a much needed upgrade. Even 'though the fridge still works, it's too small. Found a trick using Windex (IIRC) put into the bleed tray where the ink-jets do their cleaning process. Was able to revive an Epson Nx40 that would not unclog. I see a bunch of stuff Pro and Con online, but it worked for me Printer is still working now and seems to not clog as often as before (did this a couple of years ago). CW2V

Back on original 8gigs total Apple memory. Reinstalled OS on partitioned drive. Getting Big Sur install on external drive to use if needed. Moving OK at the moment, but no big apps running. Have to reinstall all the apps, fonts, preferences, mail, etc... Will get a better look tomorrow. CW2V

It’s beyond memory now. It’s OS and the SSD. Can’t get it to run disk first aid. Will try to reinstall OS. Apparently this is a known “Feature” of Monterey.

Removed memory in pairs, first set wouldnt boot. Second set booted but immediately crashed on starting up app. Now I’m getting “hash mismatch” warning to reinstall OS ($&@!@ Monterey). Looks like I got a box of nope. CW2V - on iPhone in exile.

Quotejdc Not here to diagnose. But if the 2017 is having a problem with that screen the it’s prob not the iMac. My 2014 runs 2 additional screens totally fine. All the CC apps. I doubt you will see any diff between and i9 and i7 if it’s print. 64 gb ram is the sweet spot. Running with dozens of files open, would start getting "inception" like images in Photoshop, where the
