We got down to -28° here yesterday (-46° wind chill). This type weather used to occur frequently but it hasn't occurred in years. The coldest I can personally remember is -54°, in '70 or '71; only 'snow' day I ever had, not because of snow but because the boiler at the school froze. Today (Sunday) it will be getting up to 40°. Crazy.

Purchased (supposedly) new right from Apple online store. My first thoughts were exactly as you are suggesting. Nobody from Apple could (or would) guarantee that this was new, but said it SHOULD have been new. I received a 32" Vizio Smart TV for Father's Day that has been wonderful … the picture is very good, but the big surprise has been the excellent sound from the built-in speakers.
