Quotejdc Not answer either... but security from... what exactly? its what? 5? 6? years old at this point... are you surfing the dark web? or visiting random websites trying to download pirated software/tv/music? Even then it doesn't matter... I don't know much about public WiFi but I've read that it's insecure and that you're at risk when using it. Quotegadje Any coffee shop or library with faster WiFi in your area? Are you still in Japan? I don't know as I've never used public WiFi and I'm not sure it'd be a good idea seeing as I need security updates. Not in Japan, never been in Japan. Here in the US. Quotegadje good question. is the size getting larger and larger? You could try to apply one of them and see if the earlier ones disappear or if they still show up. My guess is that macOS will insist that you apply all of them. I am not sure if the order matters or not. To be 100.00% safe, I could probably apply all of them, in that order. The beginning of this ordeal can be read here. The followup can be read here. I found another source to procure a copy of High Sierra 10.13, and after a long download (crappy internet) installed it yesterday. High Sierra also required the system clock to be set back to get it to install, but now I'm back to where I was almost a month ago.by DewGuy - Tips and Deals
Our last tube TV was a 27" Philips-Magnavox that we purchased on January 17, 1998. It died on April 26, 2022 after 24 years, 3 months and 9 days of service. Haven't gotten rid of it yet as there's no way to get rid of it at present. The replacement is a 40” Samsung.by DewGuy - Tips and Deals

The beginning of this ordeal can be read here. I was able to reinstall Snow Leopard (the shipping OS) on my 2011 MacBook Pro. I was able to download Lion (required for Sierra). When I tried to run the Lion installer it gave an error message. I remembered another member said that for one of the OSes they had to turn their system clock back. Quotebobinmurphy I have "Quicken for Mac 2007" which is version 16.0 and doesn't run on systems past Snow Leopard. I've got an install disk for Quicken Mac 2007. I purchased the Lion compatible upgrade directly from Intuit back in 2015. I checked my Intuit account and there's no longer any record of my purchasing it, let alone being able to download it again. I understand that Intuit sold off Quicken a few years ago and support for Quicken 2007 was discontinued years ago, so I don't imagine that the new ownerby DewGuy - Tips and Deals

Quoteclay I think your best bet is to download a .dmg of Sierra (10.12) from this link: ( under the "Use a web browser" section) to upgrade your Snow Leopard install. Quoterich in distress I would do a safe boot and run disk utilities to “repair” drive. Make sure you have enough space on the drive, and an internet connection. Cmd-opt-R. Quoteclay I think your best bet is to download a .dmg of Sierra (10.12) from this link: ( under the "Use a web browser" section) to upgrade your Snow Leopard install. Then, open up Mac App Store in 10.12 to download High Sierra upgrade. Or, if you need to make a couple hops between 10.6 and 10.12, maybe try Mountain Lion 10.8 or Yosemite as an intermediate step. QuoteGGD I think part of the problem you're running into is that you're trying to download it from the App store from a Mac running 10.6 (Snowleopard). Apple lists 10.8 (Mountain Lion) as a requirement for High Sierra (installer app), and I believe the App store won't let you download (or even display) Apps that don't meet the requirements.
