PSA for Honda 1.5LT Owners (CR-V, Civic...) - 7 days ago

Apparently, gas gets into the oil on short trips causing severe issues. Honda has tried to deal with it by extending warranties a bit (not enough IMO), but it's still happening on models as late as 2021. Just an FYI. As a big Honda fan, must say I'm disappointed but hopefully they'll get a permanent fix soon. If you're into cars, that site above is pretty cool to peruse.

Note it is easiest to set up an APE with the older software for AP Utility. I spent about 30-40 minutes getting error messages before I googled and it gave me some convoluted method for setting up locally, or using ethernet only, etc. On account of the latest AP Utility sw made previous hardware basically into paper weights. You have my empathy. Total PITA and the stuff out today isn't made to last, period. Forcing you to buy extended warranty - I'd recommend that for whatever you get...Squaretrade or the big box...don't know which is better IRL coverage/service, but would be interesting to find out. If your washer is super old, like pre2k, I'd be strongly inclined to pay as much as a few hundred bucks to get it

I had ingested a handful of Skittles as I left, and within about 60 seconds I nearly hurled the rainbow of flavor out onto the street as I gasped for air — trying to avoid depositing the Skittacular salivary onslaught down my windpipe. Windsprints and Skittles do not pair well.
