A local photo lab might be able to do the work. Otherwise setting up a copy stand isn't too bad. Setting it up is almost all the work. Things move as quickly as you can take pics once its set up.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
Hopefully you're feeling the worst of it and it will get better from here. Its often pretty minor when you've had successive exposure, via vaccination or infection.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
Sorry for your loss. Its difficult even when its expected. I guess I don't understand the project definition, in part because you and your family are the ones who give it meaning. Box up all the documents you want to keep, file them later. is a great source for archival boxes and albums. --- Any local art store is likely to boxes and albums that would be suitable for your needs at thby mattkime - Tips and Deals

Quotesekker Quotemattkime Why is speed an issue? How long is it taking? How do you connect your macs to the network? These machines are connected via a modern wireless network, which has ~300Mbps connectivity. They can take days for an initial time machine backup, and a 4 day gap in backing up takes ~6hours to complete the next time machine backup. I was thinking the bottleneck was in reaby mattkime - Tips and Deals
QuoteDon C Be interested to see if the Packers are for real tonight! Speaking as a packers fan, we have _no_ idea what it going to happen, although we realize that positive outcomes are less likely.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
Quotedavester I agree. However, our local markets sell rotisserie free-range birds that are quite delicious and every bit as good as birds I have cooked myself and vastly better than the Costco cheapo birds. Would definitely try.by mattkime - Tips and Deals

While I logically know that 8GB is plenty, my heart says 16GB to future proof. I'd also compare refurb prices to paying with an apple card over a year. Its kind of funny that they'll let you finance a $1k iphone over 2 years but a $1.4k mac over 1.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
Sorry, a Costco rotisserie chicken tastes like what it is - a cost engineered meal. It does not compare to roasting yourself.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
Why is it necessary for government sites but not commercial ones?by mattkime - Tips and Deals
QuoteMikeF Yeah, that bugs me as well. The only thing I can think of is that if there is no support staff to answer questions/problems they just keep the site offline. Exactly. Just unplug it!by mattkime - Tips and Deals

I have what you linked to minus the griddle lid, which is about 3 lbs heavier if you believe the listed info. I'm not sure what to say to someone who wants a lighter one. Lift maybe?by mattkime - Tips and Deals

Some sellers will haggle, some won't. Often depends upon the market as well. Sounds like they're not in a hurry to move inventory.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
I think I'm due to replace my water softener. A city newsletter encouraged replacing older water softeners as a way to put less salt into our lakes. While thats a nice benefit, it would be nice not to haul as much salt into my basement. I think we use about a 50 lbs bag a month for a family of four. Replacing the unit looks simple enough but I'd like to make sure I'm getting something that woby mattkime - Tips and Deals

Nothing I take is on Mark Cuban's list but I'm keeping an eye on that. GoodRx has proven to be more useful for me but I'm sure that will vary wildly based on which drugs you take.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
QuoteSpeedyIt would take us six years to move her money out of their fixed rate product (basically a CD) into their equities products but they will sell you an annuity right now with the money from the fixed rate product. Six years is half a lifetime for us. IMO thats some sketchy @#$%& designed to push you to an annuity. There's a reason why one is made easier than another.by mattkime - Tips and Deals
QuoteSpeedyWife can also get a small annuity (~$1500/month) from her TIAA retirement but we may leave that money untouched to leave to our ner’er-do-well heirs. Then again, maybe not. You really do need advice from a SS expert if you can find one.
