Rats are everywhere in the world, you are never far from them. They are attracted to a food source and in gardens that can often mean wild bird feeders. I will not kill rats but have often rehomed them if they become too much after catching them in live traps and releasing them further away in the countryside. Paul

Quotetestcase Have you tried just covering it with a non-breathable tarp (a dark color should work best)? You'd basically be "cooking" all the plant life under the tarp. I'd give it a week or so if the weather is sunny. If it is Mares Tail it will laugh at you even after years of being covered. Paul

Could it be Mares Tail? A very persistent weed that only gets affected by RoundUp if you bruise the leaves, a tedious job if you have a lot. There are very specialised weedkillers for it, I have used one called Kurtail from Progreen but you will have to see if it is available over with you. The roots go deep and just the tiniest bit left will regrow. Paul

And just a couple of minutes later.... Now knowing it wasn't an Android setting but to do with my provider I went to my account online and under Help quickly found Voicemail which gave two numbers to call. One to automatically turn VM on and the other to turn it off. Strangely as soon as I had rung the Off number I got another blank VM alert! Hopefully the last. Paul
