I was going to mention heat. Heat is a big factor. I cannot charge my phone by induction in my car, because it gets too hot and shuts down.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
That is a great show. I loved every minute of it.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Another thing to consider, which I have found very helpful, is that OLED has a significantly wider viewing angle than typical LCD screens. That has come in real handy with my LG OLED TV. YMMVby Spiff - Tips and Deals
Ok. I’ll confess. Bought some hex clad stuff on sale for family members. But that’s it!by Spiff - Tips and Deals
I have had this problem with a Winderz laptop recently as well. Everything else would connect, but the laptop refused. I did what you did, which was connect via ethernet.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Mine are ordered. We have gone through most of our stockpile as we have been sick and traveling.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
dumb question: restarted MBP?by Spiff - Tips and Deals
I watched an episode with my parents about a year ago. I was expecting Magnum PI type Tom. Instead, all I saw was him sitting and leaning to one side. Did not see him stand or walk. Sad. Boring compared to Magnum PI.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Did the entire nylon loop come out of the seam? If one end is still in, is it secure? Could you "poke a hole" through the loop and zip tie the bag that way? Pic of the failed loop? Pic of the bag in its entirety? Maybe how he bag sits on the bike (front or back)? Just thinking out loud, right now.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
What is the learning curve for Topaz?by Spiff - Tips and Deals

I really love driving my Pacifica hybrid. Those first 20-30 miles of all electric is awesome, in a minivan!by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Agreed with SawStop table saw. Well worth the greenbacks.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Y'all are correct! An Apple watch or iPhone would be better. I put the Airbag kerfluffle squarely on my shoulders. That was my bad as I failed to understand the limitations on Airbags. A friend of mine did the same thing and said it worked great. Not sure what that means for him. I did fail to mention that my kids are 7,7,11. I am not getting them apple watches or iPhones at this time. Theyby Spiff - Tips and Deals
I recently had a chance to use these on my trip to Disney World in FL. Unequivocally, they do not work well at all as a real time tracker. At all. Nope. Nopity nope nope nope. I lost my kids several times (as they ran off to the potty, then ran off out of the potty) and spent 20 minutes looking for them each time. Thank goodness they were the ones that found me, running up to me and laughingby Spiff - Tips and Deals
Pumpkins have been carved in the past 2 days. Decorations have been put up. Costumes for the kids procured. Plans have been made where to trick or treat. On to chaperoning! Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with prediabetes in the past couple of weeks. Yay. Gotta be good.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
My last one was a Sony Trinitron bought 2005. 27". That was when flat screens were coming out and Plasma was all the rage, but out of my price range. I hauled that mammoth from Richmond, VA to Columbia SC. used it until 2009 or so, then off loaded it to GoodWill. I still have my Sony flatscreen that has CFL technology. Darn good looking TV, when it warms up.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Quotejdc QuoteGareth Quoteka jowct Why don't they make a modular iMac instead of expensive throwaways? Well, nothing Apple makes is modular anymore... If you don't want the screen built-in, buy a Mini. This. Maybe different for others, but I have yet to "throw away" an iMac. There is a 2014 and 2010 27" sitting here that are still very fast -- and could be used for good usby Spiff - Tips and Deals
I’ve had my LG B series OLED for 7-8 years. I am still blown away at how awesome the picture is.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Today is not a good day. Had my medical checkup today. Not only is my cholesterol elevated (first time ever), but I am now prediabetic. No more sweets, chips (my kryptonite) and I gotta somehow figure out how to lose weight. My will be done... Wife got reprimanded at work for missing a deadline. Because she was taking care of our kids and her uncle. Uncle in law just gave up. He is 85 andby Spiff - Tips and Deals
Interesting. I did not think you could get a tax credit on a used EV. Last I read (a couple years ago), you could only get the credit on a new vehicle.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
I will also echo the need for a mesh system. They can be expensive, but they work. And you don't have to worry about them once they are set up. I am using Orbi Trimesh system. Others mentioned here are good as well. TP-Link also makes a good one. A lot of the satellites have ethernet ports on the back of them to hook peripherals up to it. I have found trying to run ethernet difficult in my hoby Spiff - Tips and Deals
OK. So I finally figured it out. Typical bait and switch deal-ish. Those prices are for NEW subscriptions only. Once they got ya, they increase the price of admission and you can't get it lower. I wish the news stories would include this in their reporting. Typical, but pretty lousy way of conducting business. I still have not found way to subscribe for the whole year. I think their schtickby Spiff - Tips and Deals
So I saw here, a few days ago, that the unlimited music plan was increasing from $9 to $10 a month or even less if you pay for a whole year at a time. I though "That's less than what I'm paying now..." So I find my subscription in my Apple account. Sure enough, I'm paying $14.99 a month through my apple subscription. Not sure how that got so elevated. So I cancel it. The prepaid moby Spiff - Tips and Deals
Ouch. Does not look good for east coast, next week.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Ours are about 5 years old (GE). The previous washer and dryer set were about 20 years old (HotPoint)by Spiff - Tips and Deals
Depends on what size house/living area you are trying to supply. ORBI, ECOBEE, TPLink all make great mesh systems. If you don't need a mesh system, then I would look into a wireless router from Netgear or other purveyor of fine wireless routers. I would not be interested in going back with the Airport, myself, as there is no support for it and the admin software is outdated and will not work onby Spiff - Tips and Deals
Dare I say, the bass response is awesome. Its not deep and boomy, but its presence is felt. Tight and crisp. Awesome.by Spiff - Tips and Deals
