I have zero recollection of doing anything in the Users & Groups pane. I know I was Network and Security prefs. I did disable it. Still creeps me out.

So, I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion and so far I like what I see. I have 2 User profiles. Mine is the main one and I set up one so my mom can do her online banking when she comes over. When the log in screen first came up there were only these 2 user buttons on the screen to log in. I shut down the computer last night and went out for a long walk my dog. Tried MW #1 and couldn't play it because it's just too real and you have to shoot at dogs. But then again I only seem to like shooters where you kill Aliens or monsters such as the Halo, Doom and Quake series. Don't really like shooting at humans or animals even if they are animated..

Thanks again for all the tips. I think I'm going to do what Robert suggested and just disconnect the usb from the mini. I did know about having it plugged into a non-grounded outlet being not ideal but the only other outlet in this room is grounded but seems to be on the same line as the bathroom outlet. The UPS is just a month old and there are two UPS units connected to the outlet this Cyberpower which is a series 9 unit with 510 watts and a belkin UPS which has my voip unit and cordless phone attached. Hi, My Mac Mini is hooked up to a Cyberpower UPS battery back up and I keep getting the message that my computer is running on back up power when it is not. No blackouts or surges to my knowledge. Just pops up quite regularly with this warning. I have tried to fiddle with the system preferences in Energy Saver but nothing stops this alert. I tried goggling and found nothing. Any suggestions?
