On a serious note, I assume this is tied to whatever is considered to be the age of majority within a particular State (18 years old for most States, the exceptions being Alabama & Nebraska at 19, and Mississippi at 21). Just had (another) weird coincidence happen. Quick backstory: A few days ago I was troubleshooting (what I thought) was a defective porch light (replaced an old fixture with a new one - which wouldn't light up once installed).
