If you are still getting the "lock" icon, then it sounds like a mechanical failure in the lock switch. My 3rd gen iPod suffers from a similar problem, and sometimes I really have to force the switch over with my thumb to unlock the thing even though the switch appears to be in the fully unlocked position. I just live with it as I figure the switch is soldered on the board and I don't

Is it safe to assume that the process to convert the AI files is simply a matter of importing them, or are there actual modifications that must be made to the design during the conversion to Legacy Files like the removal of extraneous points and curves that somehow get introduced? A really good book to read about the development of these two missions is Roving Mars. Spirit, Opportunity, and the Exploration of the Red Planet by Steve Squyres. He was (still is?) the scientific principal investigator for the Rover Mission. The book reads like a cliff hanger as the whole thing gets closer to the launch date. Bah! Go to the park with some food in a cooler and set 'em loose. Let them run wild like little kids should. Bring balls and games for them to play with, and for real fun bring some Wiffle bats so they can really beat the hell out of each other when the parents aren't looking. Have a barbeque once everyone is tired and all bruised up. It will be the birthday all the kids will talk about.
