Follow up from yesterday's post eBay-er wants to meet locally instead of paying for shipping The winning bidder wants me to ship to Israel. Well, that's not gonna happen. My listing specified shipping to United States. So what happens now? I looked on eBay's Rules and Policies and related links, but couldn't find additional info. No payment has been made. Should I say no? Yes? Is it safe? This is only the second item I've sold on eBay, although I've sold to people locally via Facebook Marketplace. The person with the highest bid thus far asked if we could meet as they are local. Is this in violation of eBay's terms? Thank you for all your suggestions thus far. Even Waitin4CJ chimed in (at home) and suggested an external drive (although he wanted to "Velcro" it to the laptop--not an elegant option). It's given me a lot to think about. I found just the right laptop for a mere $3600. The 16-inch MacBook Pro, upgraded with 4TB storage. I'll just have to save a little more. I'm embarrassed to tell you. If I Get Info on my Music/iTunes, the file size is 272.2GB. Pictures = 292.56GB. Files are stored on my iMac, accessed through our network. I should add that I'm not opposed to setting up an external display with hub so that I can carry my laptop from the kitchen to "plug 'n play" at my desk in my bedroom. (And this would be considered a separate expenditure, not included in the "under 2k" requirement.)by CJsNvrUrly - Tips and Deals
