Power supply fans for MDD's - 12 years ago

I know it's a little late, but I am going to sell my 867 MDD to a friend and if anyone knows of a supplier of the lower noise power supply fans, pass it along. It will go with the "lucite" 20" monitor, wow, style. At least it goes to someone who works in art restoration. Which OS. I have a family pac of Leopard that I have been running on an external. Which brand? Samsung is sending my "repaired" 1400 series back next week. Watch out for their 90 day labor warranty. The unit was purchased in April '08 as a gift($400) and is going to cost me $110 to have it "fixed". I'll report on the results later next week.

We personally vote by absentee ballot here in Ca. Saves gas and time. I think all states should have voting by mail like Oregon. If you walk in and vote there is a register to verify your address etc. Id might be necessary for a recent change of address or new resident.

If you need to, take a picture of the chair assembled. Just kidding. Disasemble as much as possible. Scrape off the old glue to show some new wood on the ends of the spindles and in the recesses. Use Elmers or equalivent yellow woodworking glue, do the following. Put glue on the spindles and holes and assemble on a table. Use strap clamps, ropes and tourniquet system to pull it all together at o

Go to Sears and get a Kenmore or Whirlpool(same) of your choice. We like the top freezers because they have the best internal volume vs. external size. ref to Consumer Reports for this. Match the color and Sears will usually have a rebate for delivery and hookup.

Just sent off to repair my Samsung 1400 pile of junk. 90 day warranty on labor for a $400 Blu-ray, $85 repair fee up front and $22 UPS says I all. At least it was a birthday gift.

Wow, and on the side bar was "As tears go by" with Marianne Faithfull. Introduced by Brian Epstein of Beatles fame. I missed the Beatle rave as I was conscripted by the US of A and in Panama at the time. Great popular music came from the 60's and early documents of the beginnings are important.

I have hesitated to post this for some weeks. My "learned friend" when asked by me over a year ago," is this economy is nothing but paper", replied in a long email basically about deregulation and becoming a "service" oriented country. When asked about the stock market, the reply was "don't be suprised to see the Dow go down to 7500".

There were three series. The first was on PBS and most familiar. Two and Three I believe were on cable. I have the first series which has ten shows on 5 dvds. Amazon has all three and pricey. It's a great teaching tool also.

Has anybody mentioned dual glazed windows? A must for insulation of cold/heat and also sound. As I have remodel many kitchens, clients are always enjoy full-extension deep drawers. Never put pull-outs behind two doors as you will gouge the back of the doors. Best Dell you can afford. I have a 24" and a 17" TV(made by Philips).TV suffered from a bad power supply board problem solved by replacing capicators and resistors. I have extra parts if anyone on the forum needs them for a dead Dell 17"TV, free. Get the Ultra Sharp if it fits your wallet.

Ditto, and super easy to swap.I bought the drive and external kit from OWC and used CCC with no problems. Anybody have a source for the tiny screwdriver? I had to use a small "slot(blade)" driver and it did the job. I need to invest in a good set of small drivers.

RSL was Rogers Sound Labs and based I think in So. Cal. They designed and built the speakers they sold. Quality was good, but not special. These are as good as they sound. I too have a pair of Magnepan speakers 60" high by 48" wide(in three panels 1" thick). They need a Sub and who has a "barn" to use them.

After installations, we use just paint thinner to remove masking tape. When the tape has aged it must be soaked and will eventually be removable. We do this on "formica" and varnished finishes. Be careful of the lemon and orange removers because they might dull the finish. Always start with the mildest and work your way up. If you don't have paint thinner I would try WD40. It won't hurt

In our shop we have collected pairs of DeWalt, Makita, and Panasonic drills. We start with one and when the batteries die, it is cheaper to buy a new one with two batteries than paying retail for a single replacement battery. All of the drills work fine, it's the batteries that die. We run a lot of small wood screws and prefer the lower voltage and lighter units with clutches. For hammer drilling

Daughter and Friend, both zoo keepers are heading to Australia where we have friends . She wants a "flash camcorder" for the trip. Research so far is the Canon Vixia HF 100 and the HF 10. They won't leave until Nov. and quality is more important than price. So far, prices from "know" sources are $600 plus. Other choices?
