How many miles? White or "steam" is a leaky head gasket allowing the water jacket to leak into the cylinder. Our Saab 99 turned into a steammobile. Leaky fuel injectors drip into the cylinders and upon startup cause grey smoke. Injection cleaner like "tectron" can help here. You need to give more info...by artie67 - Tips and Deals
I have been using HiVi drivers for a number of years. Built 5-1 with Parts Express sub for our two kids, one got walnut and the other honduras mahogany. Stands included, 1"tubing and a pal that can weld. Check out Parts Express for the drivers and figure you would have to build the crossovers(and design), cabinets, grills, and amps. Looks like a bargain to me. Also know that most drivers areby artie67 - Tips and Deals
Pretty good rolling here in Northridge. Mild at first and became more intense for 15 seconds or so. Grabbed by upper monitor and equipment stack. No damage. Nothing like the Slymar(1970) or Northridge(1994) quakes. I hope it is a "wake-up" call for city services and for all to restock the water and emergency supplies.by artie67 - Tips and Deals

Go to a local radiator shop and get a diagnosis of the leak. Could be a hose. Most radiators these days are not repairable as in the "old days" when leaks could be soldered. Remember "Barr's Stop Leak". Get a "face to face" opinion.by artie67 - Tips and Deals

Ok, 2 hdmi in, 1 out,THX rated, Ipod input(cable included), Sirius,XM,mic for set up and 120w x 7. Good display, loaded with inputs and screw terminals. Note: not spaced for a dual banana plug, but easy to wire if you "tin solder" the speaker wire. I got mine 6 months ago from Amazon for $380. I see Abes of Maine has it for $324. Is this on the case or glass? Maybe solvent on the glass, acetone(finger nail polish remover) etc. Car detailing products, less abrasive first and going down to oxidation compound removers. Razor blade if on the glass also. Black duct tape is always fashionable.by artie67 - Tips and Deals
Ok, in input jack is not bluetooth, but fits a USB plug. The "logo" is to raindrops or maybe tadpoles. Got to love Epson. By the way , generic ink will work if you plug it in and keep trying. I did have to put a black oem in to make the other generics work on a r300. Thanks BGR, hot in the Valley again..by artie67 - Tips and Deals
Here's an easy one. New (refurb) 2.0 macbook(leopard) that I would like to bluetooth to Epson CX9400fax. It has a port for bluetooth on the front. The SWMBO also has a 24" "glossy" imac(tiger). Which bluetooth adapter works best for printing and is it possible to have two OS"s. Make it simple macbook to printer would be an easy solution. Too many cheap Epson printers canby artie67 - Tips and Deals
I was going to suggest an Audis Model M, you know the clipper my dad used on my brother and I. I looked on the top and it actually gives patent dates-2-20-23 and the most current 1-20-59. Made in Racine Wisc. Just don't go cheap. Check the reviews and find something for budget and longevity.by artie67 - Tips and Deals
Had a ML-2010 which worked great, currently using a ML-2510 which is basically the same, but holds more paper. It's a workhorse in printing manuals, documents, and other noncritical things. It is hooked up in a shared network with four computers, no problems with set up or software. Price is usually about $50 with rebates or not.by artie67 - Tips and Deals

'53 Ford, salmon and white Victoria "hardtop convertible"(2-door with no pilar). It later became Earl Shieb black and a "stoplight dragster" with '50 Cad/Hydromatic combo. Remember the 8.14x15 slicks in the rear? Got over 110 mph before the front (all of it) started to lift off the frame. Next was a '58 Volvo 444 and '73 Saab EMS.by artie67 - Tips and Deals
Have the LC-19SK24U Sharp. Specs look the same. Mine is gloss black with an extra magnet backed remote. The remote sits in the front of the stand or side of the range hood in my case. Loads of features and excellent picture.by artie67 - Tips and Deals
Our first new car was a 98 Ford Contour SVT. A great car that was not supported by Ford and discontinued in the US, but still in Europe. My first new car is a Mazda3 hatchback 2004 . Made in Japan, 25-34 mpg and a super used car value. Fit and finish is excellent. The cars listed in the article have good motors and drivelines, but fit and finish etc is the shortcoming. Four closet doors? Are these bifolds? What height is the ceiling? You might have to stop the crown if there is not a "header" at the top to cross over the doors. We have 8'(94" plus) by 96' wide sliding mirror doors in one bedroom. They work well and add to the "size" of the room. Add to your cost knocking out the existing header etc. and any repairs. OK, Easter is over and the roasted lamb was great. I would leave the exterior as is and spend time on the interior, if needed. What kind of brick? Concrete, "red", cinderblock etc. I have lived concrete block (8"x16") houses almost all of my 68 years. Good paint, properly prepped, and color coordinated looks great. Trim color on windows will make it "pop". As far as "brick needs to breathe" news to me. Discover "Tapcon" screws. They are made to anchor things to brickby artie67 - Tips and Deals
Commerical encoded or off the tv? Addressing "off the air", we had a collection of vhs tapes (600) from mostly PBS, A&E, and Bravo. This was when their content was the best on TV. Do you know the brand? The #'s look like those Blum uses. It is also quite old. Most hinges these days are stamped not cast. It's called a "pie-cut corner hinge" after the shape of the susan tray inside the cabinet. I seem to remember that Mepla had something like it in size. Another brand is AND(A&D) Medical. Consumers Union usually has Omron and AND in their listings. Well let's see..Bush wants ethenol, good for corn farmers, bad for corn eaters, like cereals and oil and deep frying etc. Bioproducts (oils) are good for recycling and plastics, but not for vechicles. Europe has low emission diesel cars and trucks, 40 mpg cars, and a better understanding that the "cheap oil era" is over. When will be get the message? Ok, I confess.
