I just realised you meant 400 (plus) deaths caused by cops each year...not since records began. That is some crazy @#$%& right there. And for the record the UK has around 64 million people, a fifth of the American population. We are by nature no more law abiding than Americans, yet we somehow manage not to kill 80 people a year using cops. In fact, in some recent years we have killed none.

Crime is not omnipresent in England, I can happily confirm. The police are under scrutiny right now for using pepper spray on a bunch of students who were protesting for free education. No guns were involved! It does happen that people are killed by the police, but it's rare and not normalised like it is the States. And almost never is it considered to be racially motivated. The video shows a man who is agitated being rushed and manhandled to the ground by what, 6 or 7 cops, with one of them having an arm around his neck. The man does not, after a short time, breathe again. How is that anything other than, at the very least, manslaughter? No trial? Apart from the one we didn't see, there was no trial. Urban foxes are such a success story because the pickings are so rich. They could survive out "in the wild" but the pickings in suburbia mean they can thrive with far less effort. The woman who conducted the forensic report has stated that her findings could be interpreted in a number of ways. Evidence is not fact, it supports a theory, and in this case it was used to support the theory that an unarmed black man deserved to die.

The way McCulloch tells it, that the science verifies the account by Wilson, is so warped it beggars belief. This man is supposed to be the Prosecuting Attorney not the apologist for racial violence.
