Better yet, visit the bookstores at major campuses. They often have deals on top of the EDU discount. You won't often get a lower price - that's set by Apple, but they will often times have attractive "add-ons". … in a rare case, bfd got a lower price than Apple EDU on an iBook last year (it was the same $100 rebate as Amazon had going, but Amazon didn't have the EDU discount…)by bfd - Tips and Deals
The governator is a "machine" in search of an issue right now. He was bitch-slapped severely by the teachers, firefighters, police, and nurses last fall. Since then, he's been in repent and repair mode. Sadly, California and politics don't mix. It's not a great "vacation" strategy, but for older folks it might make sense. For 75G they could take a world cruise - but it'd be a one time fling. 3 timeshares = 3 weeks of vacation a year at generally nice places. They're not probably going to pay off the entire 75G, so amortizing that over the rest of their lifetime is one metric you might use to determine "the value"…by bfd - Tips and Deals

What a joke … it cost the gubmint MILLIONS just to put up the fence we've got now, and that was with all the materials coming from old surplus "portable" runways that they already owned. The MILLIONS were labor costs. Maybe the MinuteMen should put Mexicans to work on it and save themselves a few bucks. Home Depot opens at 6:00am,by bfd - 'Friendly' Political Ranting
