VerizonWireless has 4, not 3.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
Allgold called it. Premium Messaging is billed through your carrier by third parties. You get on their list by submitting your phone number while online, or by texting your vote to any TV show. Read the fine print (if you can on your TV), which states that by sending the vote by text or submitting your number online, you agree to receive texts from the third party and be billed up to$9.99 per monby neophyte - Tips and Deals
How bad is the battery life? Is it 10 minutes flying : 50 minutes charging? Can you get spare batteries and charge them while flying on original batteries?by neophyte - Tips and Deals
For Android, search market for Lock Mode. Several apps come up that might fit your needs. App Protector Lite (or Pro) allows you to lock any app, File Cover allows you to hide pics and videos, and several play apps for toddlers lock all else on the phone except that play app.by neophyte - Tips and Deals

Interestingly, my BB Storm, whilst NOT connected to any network or wifi (I use it for my alarm clock as my house power is unreliable), still sprang ahead one hour. And of course, my Droid X changed appropriately as expected. "Droid Does"by neophyte - Tips and Deals
QuotePaul F. The solid rocket boosters have thrust termination charges to open a port up front (near the nose), but those reportedly were not fired until nearly 20 seconds after the Challenger impacted the external tank and came apart from the dynamic pressures. Yes. I watched that flight from a 4th story window in Tampa, a nearly horizontal view. In my minds eye I still see a "Y" -by neophyte - Tips and Deals
I had the same problem with Time Warner's crappy DNS servers. I fixed it by entering the following two public DNS servers in my Network settings: 4.2.2.3 4.2.2.2 No more problems. Can't remember if I put them into my Buffalo router's DNS field...by neophyte - Tips and Deals

Where - finds movie theaters/show times, gas prices, food, drink, etc; Droid-Mania's widgets (Silent Toggle and Brightness); K9 Mail - easily sets up and handles multiple email addresses in separate inboxes; Ringdroid - cuts songs into ringtones; Zedge - more ringtones than you can go through in a lifetime. All of these are free.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
Used? Samsung Intensity I or II are OK. Older kb phones like the Alias and Env3 require a data package, newer ones do not. The Blitz does not hold up over time.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
So the nice 10 yo girl across the street has a hen or two, and is selling the brown eggs. Wifey wants to be agreeable because this girl also watches our cats when we go away. Fine, its only $2-3 a dozen. Even if we throw them out its OK. But what are the risks if we actually cook and eat them? Do grocery store-bought eggs go through some sanitation procedure? Anything I can replicate at home? Orby neophyte - Tips and Deals
Come on, it was a Perkins parking lot. Think upscale. That sleezy stuff you guys are hinting at is what happens in Waffle House lots. I've witnessed PC's wrapped in ratty trench coats being exchanged in those lots, with lots of furtive looks...by neophyte - Tips and Deals

Grateful - You can get insurance thru VZW for $9.18 a month, standard one year warranty, with a deductible of $169 for the 16GB model or $199 for the 32GB model. This insurance covers lost, stolen, and broken in any way (liquid damage, dog bites it, drops out the window, etc.). And all of your lines will be eligible for promotional pricing for new phones after 20 months into the contract, not 2 yby neophyte - Tips and Deals
Quotebazookaman Again. Why is this stuff so difficult??? Because its a Verizon Wireless phone. They have always made it difficult to get data out via Bluetooth, locking it down to transfer sound only. You were lucky BitPim worked on your ENV. Which, by the way, many found that the battery was slightly loose and would slide just enough once in a while to suddenly power down the ENV. A little taby neophyte - Tips and Deals

Go Back? My daughter never left it. The web browser Classilla runs very well and is still being updated. The only incompatibility she reports is in making reservations on some airline web sites. Talk about getting your $$$ worth out of a computer. Her main computer in daily use is my old Starmax 3000 bought new in 1997 for $1500. A G3 processor and maxed out RAM (160MB!) in 2000, and a new harby neophyte - Tips and Deals
Quotestephen I wonder about Alltel in my parents' town, which may or may not be owned by Verizon now. It's confusing. That should be easy to determine. Who's their monthly bill from? If they were taken over, it'll say Verizonwireless. If not, it'll say who their current carrier is.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
Er, no, not phone use. Computer use. These are data plans for Mifis and USB modems. And I have never seen anyone use 80GB of data in 2 hours even if the throughput speed allows it. Sure, you can use it up in a month if you use streaming apps (videos, on line games, streaming radio). Keep in mind these devices are not meant to replace your home internet (wired) service, which has much greater capaby neophyte - Tips and Deals
If you pay $50 for the first 5GB, then continue to pay $10 for every GB thereafter, how is that a "cap"? It's the same rate... And its only $2 more per GB than the first 10GB for $80. Not such a ridiculous overage, IMHO.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
Cap? No cap. You just pay more to get more: $10 per GB. No speed loss.by neophyte - Tips and Deals

Verizon has always sucked, according to some. However, Verizon Wireless on the other hand, well, see how customers stack it up against other carriers in the January issue of Consumer Reports. OK, I'm biased. VZW works well for me, and the only other carrier I've ever had was Alltel. My Droid X works well.by neophyte - Tips and Deals
