The inside cabin video during ascent showed a really smooth ride - no shaking. Soyez videos also show a smooth ride. The few shuttle cabin videos I have seen showed a rougher ride.

I'll bet the red goes to another switch that also operated that outside light in a 3-way switch mode. I suspect that the original wiring layout had power going directly to the fixtures, and only later were wall switches added, so only 2-wire cable was used to merely carry the hot from the fixture to the switch and back up to the fixture. How old is the house?

Indeed, squirrels are intelligent. And prolific gnawers. Every wooden bird feeder I have had was gnawed to bits, as were the wooden arms of lawn chairs. All my bird feeders now are entirely metal, with spring-loaded covers over the seed holes to block squirrel access. Additionally, you know those aluminum tie wires that hold chain link fences to their steel posts and rails? Most have been gnawed

Possibilities: Root bound, insufficient fertilizer, lack of sunlight. Our potted gardenias lose leaves during their several 4-7 day excursions in the garage during the winter avoiding freezes. They have always come back.

I got some N95 respirators from Canopus this week. Bought on-line Monday, received Friday, 4 day coast-to-coast shipping for $6 isn't bad. They changed their webpage since I purchased mine. The original webpage said these are 4-ply masks. The new webpage shows the CDC/NIOSH test results.

What an interesting career you had! I remember that story in the Boston Globe. Four months later I moved to Lutz to attend graduate school at USF. I remember when the replacement bridge opened. It seemed very high at the time. It was also the more scenic route from Lutz to Sanibel via 275 over the bridge rather than 75 around Tampa Bay.

C-diff is indeed difficult to kill as it walls its colony off, and drugs have a difficult time penetrating the wall. Hope you also got doses of probiotic bacteria, as they are what ultimately keep C-diff at low populations in the gut.

The usual channels for funding most biomedical research involve peer-reviewing of research proposals/protocols. This review takes time. I think the present helter-skelter approach revolves around who can get money NOW to fund the research, not whose ideas seem likely to be fruitful. Pharma companies fund their own, with potential profit being a prime motivator. Collins has a tough row to hoe.
