Well I am finally going to retire my trusty Performa 5200/75 LC! This baby came to me about 7 years ago without a hard drive and no RAM and I breatheed some life back into it so that my kids, then ages 10, 7 & 6, would have a Mac of there own. The maximum size of a bootable partition or drive for your SE/30 would be 2gigs. The Mac can address much more space, but under any OS with a number below 8 you cannot boot from a drive/partition larger than 2 gigs.by Harbourmaster - Tips and Deals

Well if your looking for opinions... FWIW I have F@H running on a wide variety of equipment including a G3/266 iMac, G3/800 B&W, G4/867 QS, G5/2.5 Quad, PIII/733 (WIN2k), P4/2.8 (XP Pro), Athlon XP 3200+ (XP Pro) and my purely subjective observation is that processor for processor, the P4 machine is the fastest folder of the bunch. This is one of the many things I like about using Eudora, mail files are saved as plain text files that are easily searchable using any text editor (and Eudora of course). I have saved email archives (by year) that go back to my very first Mac!by Harbourmaster - Tips and Deals

IMHO If a theif really wants to steal your car no alarm is going to stop them. If you value your vehicle pony up for the Lojack. There used to be a product made by Jacobs Electronics (the exact name of which escapes me) that would allow someone to start and drive the vehicle for a set time frame, ie. 120 seconds and then it would kill the ignition. I have an 180 gig drive here that is giving me an error when I ry to format it on my Mac, something like "invalid volume signature". The drive had been setup by another person in an older Firewire Case and formatted at 128 GB and so that's all the Mac wants to format it to (even under OS 9 and with a third party utility).
