#1 son received a new 30 gig ipod video (black) for his birthday yesterday.
I have purchased one episode of South Park for him on iTunes and have also exported some existing video using Instant Handbrake.
Buuuuut iTunes will not put the purchased file on his iPod and I can't get it to import the Handbrake stuff. It won't even play in iTunes. (iTunes 7.0)

I'd have taken that little fellow outside and tried to find some kind of activity we could do--throw a ball, play tag, something. Sounds like he needs some attention and I have found children who act like that really react well to just something as simple as going outside and running "races" in the parking lot./driveway

HMMM. I tried to get it to work this afternoon but the Dell screen stayed at a huge image of the Windows desktop--it never showed any icons or the Windows taskbar. I used the control panel you mentioned.
I'm editing sound files using a well-worn copy of Cooledit 2000 which I have used to for years and am pretty accustomed to using. I tried to flick into using Audacity for the Intel Mac and Ama

I have to use a Windows app to do my sound editing ... and I'd like to do it by hooking my Macbook up to my 24 inch Dell LCD but I can't seem to get the monitor set up correct. Has anyone successfully done this so the Windows desktop appears correctly in the second monitor?
I haven't used a Windows computer in a while--sorry if this is a n00b question.
Thanks

Hmmm. Suddenly since I did the latest software update on Tiger my G5 won't save any of my menu bar programs refuse to load--including, at times, the Apple ones.
Very odd. iAddressx etc will load up there if I open them, but they no longer auto-load. Any ideas?

After ten years of being 100% self-employed, I've decided to try and learn some strategies to actually grow my business. A lot of the books that I've found and read thus far deal with starting a business and staying in business for the first few years. We're well past that. As I unlock the door each morning I wonder if there aren't some tried and true business practices or rules that could help m

Found an old Dell Diemnsion L667 computer by a dumpster today. It's fully functional and running Win98 at the moment. This thing is really small--it would make a decent small server or back up machine I could easily stick in a closet or what have you.
Wondering, what distro of Linux would run well on this and have basically no learning curve?

Man, five minutes before boarding at the Vegas airport and my wife's 29 gig (non color) iPod froze, then gave me the sad Mac. I have the best luck with iPods! Tried to force it into disk mode with no joy. Apple.com says to take it to the Apple store.
What can I expect from bringing it in? I bought this as a refurb from Smalldog; it's still under warranty.

My family is on two different individual health insurance plans. I have a policy through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
My wife and son are covered through Fortis with an attached Health Savings Account.
In a bad year, we'd be looking at two separate $5,000 deductibles.
We'd like to get on a family plan, with one deductible. However, my wife is a little leery of switching over to BlueCross.
