I CALLED TARGET AND spoke with a fellow in electronics. He was standing in front of the unit but was incapable of telling me anything about it. He didn't know what spec it is, what size or the price. He sounded about 20 years old. I asked him what color it was and he said it seemed like it was between a purple and a pink. I will go back there and see what spec and size it is.

I just tried out an iPad Pro at Target. Quite an interesting and seemingly useful device. Easy on the eyes. What is the semi-cheap used iPad solution for someone who can't pay $$$$ for a new one? Is an older version of the iPad "close"? TIA

That whole file naming change has been a disaster for the user. It made no sense. A developer at PANIC suggested they did it for Spotlight reasons. I never understood it.

I've got around $200 into a pretty useful laptop. Thanks for all the help. You have no idea how close this unit was to being thrown in the recycling dumpster.

I went to a wedding reception at a bar last Saturday. A room full of people mingling eating and drinking for hours. Maybe 3 people wore masks. I'm glad that you fellows told me what a gem this unit is. I really like the keyboard. Thus far I have ordered an SD drive, new battery from OWC and now the data doubler. I can't remember the last time I used a DVD.

I guess I don't understand what they mean by 3G and 6G. I assumed it was drive size? I intend to put an SD drive where the hard drive is now and the original hard drive in the CD/DVD space with the data doubler dealy. My neighbor gave me this Macbook for those that remember the original message.

I cleared everything off the other user/her account. She says she doesn't use the Macbook for anything but "internet". I am signed into icloud on the pref panel. I'm trying to sign into the App store to try and download a newer OS but I get a spinning beach ball when doing so in the App Store app. Restart/sign out/sign in repeat no joy. Is there any way to get an install

Well, ok. I almost told her to recycle it but glad I didn't. It is a conventional hard drive. I'll see if she has dough for a new SSD. She had to think about the $89 battery from OWC. I tried to just run app store app but it says it cant connect. It will get online with a browser. Is there a simple link to download and install Mojave? On Safari it simply won't load the page from a goo

It's very very slow. I did a new admin account and it is still very slow. Might anyone know what OS this beauty would run if I did a nuke and pave? Ordering a replacement battery from OWC now.
