What am I missing here? CUSA sells you an open box Mac. AppleCare takes your money. CUSA promises a three year warranty. Turns out AppleCare will only cover machine for two years. CUSA owes you another year of warranty coverage and will do so, but only in house (at CUSA). ----- You are mad at CUSA becasue the can't (or won't) get AppleCare to make good on this. Where did the 5 previous AppleCare incidents on this machine come from if not P.M. (which is what the AppleCare guy told you). Either two P.M.'s are involved in this story or AppleCare guy made stuff up?by ADent - Tips and Deals
Cool there will be a Fry's in Denver. Sucks that it is on the other side of town. I live real close to the former Incredible Universe that Fry's bought most of (Sears got this one). In-N-Out rules. There is a knock off in Parker called Burgers-N-Sports. I want a Portillo's here. They just opened one in LA, had to skip over Denver.by ADent - Tips and Deals
What about vMac?by ADent - Tips and Deals
Wow. The way Apple pisses off so many developers and such, its nice when they throw a bone to you guys every once in awhile.by ADent - Tips and Deals

I am cheap and would have bought the Sandisk units $60 for 512M before Christmas (I missed the cheaper Black Friday units). Throw in a couple of 1GB SD cards for cheap and still well under $200. Still thinking about getting one for puttering around the garage and yard because I don't want to take the iPod video out and get it smashed, dirty, banged up.by ADent - Tips and Deals
I would like the iMac 128MB RAM (PC100). The kids G3 400 DV SE still has a stick of 64MB in it (the other slot does have a 256 I bought). The SO DIMM is for a laptop or didn't the lamp style iMacs use those? Post a picture or some ID numbers and somebody can ID it. ADent1@aol.comby ADent - Tips and Deals
I personaly would get a decent laser printer and the cheapest flat bed all in one (most likely inkjet). The Brother I have (MFC3800CN) was a huge bargain, but print quality is so-so. Scan and Fax seem fine. Love the auto doc feeder. The drivers are kept up to date. Can scan over the network. No functions (scan/print/fax/etc) work if it is out of ink (though I can still scan over the network -by ADent - Tips and Deals
Didn't they block cell phones at the last big show with the Leader?by ADent - Tips and Deals
There was some home automation project on the net where the dude had the water shut off when not home, like the setback on a thermometer.by ADent - Tips and Deals
Well 303/720 was not always this way. They raised our bill $0.25/month a few years back to make all of 303 a local call (before 720 was overlayed onto 303).by ADent - Tips and Deals
If your web address is owned by you and registered by someone else (I use godaddy), it is easy to move. Sign up for new hosting. Set up the site like you want. Go to your registrar and point to the new host. It will take a little bit to propogate thru all the DNS servers. If they are registrar and host, good luck. You need to get the registration moved to someone you can work with.by ADent - Tips and Deals
The ATI Radeon PCI (Mac) does not support two monitors simultaneously, though it does have a full size VGA and DVI connectors. The ATI Radeon 7200 PCI (flahsed from PC) does support two monitors simultaneously with its full size VGA and DVI connectors. Did it in my S900 (think PM8500 w/6 slots).by ADent - Tips and Deals

Look for somebody that replaces drives and batteries - preferably local. They should be able to whip a soldering iron.by ADent - Tips and Deals
Memory for that machine is not particularly cheap (though I got a good price on 256MB mail order). Think about a mini before sinking too much money into it.by ADent - Tips and Deals
Modems are now optional. This became so on the MkIa models (which don't really differ from the MkI models, except on the bundles). My wife has the $599 w/Bluetooth & Airport X and no modem.by ADent - Tips and Deals

I am looking at Sportsuit™ Convertible for iPod video. Doesn't say 30 or 60GB, but ilounge has the Basic as a one size fits all - stretch to fit. It is listed on the Apple site, but again no size.by ADent - Tips and Deals
