Quoterz Do they require you to rent their modem, or can you BYO? $11/month for a modem that you can most likely buy for under $100 is insane. In the 50 years I've lived in the Beaverton/Hillsboro Oregon area I've never had one of their modems, except once for a brief period (2 months) many years ago. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Is there a way to build up the blue voice control button so it's higher than the rest, such as a small piece of plastic glued on that button? LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Bought a 2001 Toyota Sienna XLE in May of 2001. Only have 64,000 miles on it, although it is my primary vehicle. I've had some air-conditioning issues with compressor replaced and rear shocks, and some minor things, but the motor/transmission has been rock solid - the only "engine-related" stuff was a new timing belt when it was due to be changed. The light brown paint on the vehicby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Our local Dollar Tree (in Oregon) sells yoo-hoo candy bars. I've never bought one. They have a website, so you may be able to order them online. I bought 24 bags of a certain candy once from them and I believe they were delivered to the store for free. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
I'm not that knowledgeable, but maybe Automator could do what you want. It can do a lot of post-processing to photos. You can see the photo "Actions" that it can perform by just starting a WorkFlow and look at the photo options. Not sure how well it works under Sierra. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals

I keep a couple of text files (created with TextEdit) on my Desktop. Using Mavericks (10.9.5) with one of these files selected (single-left-click), I could press the spacebar to view the contents. I could then select and copy one word (or more) from this file to the clipboard. I could then paste the word(s) into Safari, or wherever I needed it. Then pressing spacebar again deselects the dby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Got my Glucosamine/Chondroitin Settlement Check Today. (Submitted my claim on 4-21-2016.) I certified that I had purchased 12 bottles from Costco during the time period. They indicated we would get a settlement of $8 per bottle, or reduced pro rata. I got $26.17 total = that means I got a total of $2.18 per bottle - what a rip... But not uncommon with these situations. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
You realize these restrictions only apply to 8 countries, and only when you are coming to the USA from those countries - not when you fly to those (or any other countries). (Unless I read it wrong) Here's a link: LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals

I do most of my shopping for remanufactured ink carts (including CLI-8 in the past) at Swift Ink. No real issues with their products. But I'm not a heavy user of ink as I use my Brothers laser for 75% of my printing. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
This link is to a pic of Portland, Oregon's Tillikum Crossing Bridge, it's the newest bridge across the Willamette River. The photo shows it not quite completed, but it is fully operational now. I'm only posting this because of the similarity to the bridge in the first post. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals

I've used my Sennheiser RS 120 wireless headset for a year and a half. Not that expensive $53+, and it charges by just setting the headphone on the charging station - nothing to plug in. Charging station can attach to the wall, if desired. Never had it's batteries die while using it, and use it listening to TV in the living room (so wife doesn't have to hear shows she doesn't want to hear)by LyleH - Tips and Deals
QuoteWags Our hummers are tough. Our 3 feeders in Hillsboro, OR are all under cover, but get a lot of the east wind, and some of the blowing snow today. One of the hummers still sits all day long (7 am to 5 pm) one one of the feeders. Tough bugger. He chases away the other guys. Just a P.S. - I put about a teaspoon of pink gatorade in my feeders' solution so I can more easily see whenby LyleH - Tips and Deals
QuoteFritz check with the forums at TVfool.com, AVS, DTV, Solid Signal (seller), Dennys (seller). Some very knowledgeable types in the forums. www.tvfool.com will let you display a map of your current location and show on the circular map the location of many TV stations along with their location by degrees and distance from you. Works good. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Here's a DealNews deal for a 39.5" LCD Smart TV - Seiki SE40FYP1T $186 net - today only. I know nothing about this particular TV except three HDMI inputs. Also, don't know if the deal is still valid/active. YMMV LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Sony at Best Buy is $229. Looks like only 1 HDMI input. I didn't really check out all the specs. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals

Maybe for future-proofing you could glue some felt on the bottom of the garage door so it would just slide over the tailgate without gouging the paint. Wouldn't have to do the whole garage door. (Oh, I closed my garage door on our van's open hatch once myself. Then somewhat later I backed the van into the closed garage door - After that episode I had to replace the whole rear hatch door -by LyleH - Tips and Deals
In Portland, OR we had a larger hummer at our feeders for about two weeks. Now he seems to be gone, but could just be migrating south. We have some hummers at our feeder now, and all winter. When it's below freezing I bring the feeders into the house at night to be sure they don't split. LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals

I had a similar Motion-Activated Yard Enforcer, which kinda worked. One issue I had was i originally used a cheap hose, and with the hose having full 125 psi water pressure for a long time and being in the sun, the hose expanded and finally broke. And, of course, the squirrels got smart and learned to avoid it after awhile. Remember, you'll also chase away birds if they also feed in that aby LyleH - Tips and Deals
The older iPads make a very nice digital photo display. I have 1600 photos on my iPad3, and my daughter uses her iPad2 for the same purpose. We both leave ours plugged in all the time, but turn them off at night with the iPad's off/on switch. For my iPad 3 I used an app called Slideshow, which lets me easily set up several different slideshows with different sets of photos. I select a differeby LyleH - Tips and Deals

I have probably 200+ passwords that I keep in an 8.5 x 11 notebook with tabs A to Z, with Amazon (for example) on the "A" page(s), etc. Each letter has 3 pages (I don't use the back of the pages), and I may get 10+ on a page. I write the password in pencil so I can erase and add changed passwords for each site. If I wanted to get tricky, I could add a false letter/number to the froby LyleH - Tips and Deals

QuoteOmbligo I 'm on Yosemite, the App store requires El Crap for either the system patch or the Safari patch. I'll skip for now. Just installed Safari 9.1.3 on my 2009 iMac with Mavericks. Originally installed 9.1 in March of this year. Wonder why there's a problem with Yosemite, a newer OSX? LyleHby LyleH - Tips and Deals
Quoterz QuoteKludgy Thingy Have you looked here: www.grillgrate.com? (Sorry, don't know how to do links/shortcuts).
