I've used the Sennheiser RS 120 for a year now. Plugs into 120v, and it recharges by simply setting the headphones on the base unit's 2 metal holders. I did the Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit about 11 months ago. Seems to work well, but be sure you do a thorough job of applying the final UV Blocking Clear coat. It's hard to tell if you've applied it completely to all the lens covering. It will show later if you missed any spots. LyleH

TextWrangler is free, and probably works under El Capitan - although I don't have El Capitan to test it. What you want to do is under Text/Change Case. I would guess there's a lot of ways to do this. LyleH And this discusses compatibility with different OSX versions.

I found one way to not get blocked when you view web pages in Safari with your Ad Blocker active is to immediately click on Reader as soon as the web page displays. I haven't done thorough testing, but it does seem to work on some sites - including Wired. And, of course all you can read is the article, but maybe that's all you want to read anyway. ??? LyleH

I'm over 80, and the plethora of free and $1 apps for the iPad (especially games, but so many possible apps to try out) is so much easier on the pocketbook. I did the full swap for $299 thru Apple with my iPad 4 when I broke my screen. According to the serial numbers, both iPad 4's were new. One thing to consider, if she's had the iPad for quite awhile is that she would end up with a new battery, too. Tough call to make. LyleH
