Finally - I will no longer have to buy my cars on eBay! disclaimer: I have never bought a car on eBay.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
Robert M, I only listed what I myself have replaced with my iPhone. It has cleared my office out enough that I can almost walk from one end to the other without tripping over something - increasingly important as I get older. The Airport Express attached to a good external DAC allows a much better sound experience than the audio-out or Bluetooth connection from the iPhone. I store all my medby S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
I'm glad I decided to "STFF." I was about to post this problem myself. It is very concerning to me that spammers have access to our calendars.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
The free version of Macrium Reflect works very well for this purpose. I've used it countless times without problems. (Perhaps not "countless;" five or six times, maybe).by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
Better Touch Tool can do this, as well as perform other functions. It's not free, but it's under $10. Scrolling down to the bottom of the product page and selecting "View Additional Features!" provides a list of functions which includes: "Configure what happens when right-clicking a window’s close/minimize/fullscreen button" It seems it is not compatible with the 201by S. He always seemed immensely likable, whether on Barney Miller, The New Odd Couple (1980's), Firefly, or playing bit roles. 71 is too young. Rest in Peace, Ron.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals

$571.36 pre-order at Amazon. Ouch! I've waited decades to hear "Point Me At the Sky" since hearing a clip of it on a documentary in the 1980's, but I'm not willing to spend a penny over $500 to do so.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
My wife's homemade soup tastes better reheated on the stove. It contains more solids than store-bought soup, so just like meat and boiled vegetables tend to do better with conduction heating rather than microwaving, so does her soup. I'll defrost it in the microwave until room temp, though, to save myself an eternity watching a block of iced soup slowly melt on the stove.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals

QuoteRacer X hookers and booze are completely natural. Fairly expensive, though, in my experience. (Disclaimer: I do not actually have any experience with hookers or booze, and have no investments in pimps, pay-by-the-hour hotels, or liquor stores, etc etc etc)by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
QuoteOmbligo My doctor has me taking 50mg of Trazodone for sleeping. It doesn't knock you out but once asleep it helps you stay asleep or you can go back to sleep if you wake up for the restroom. I was waking at 2:30-3 and not able to fall back asleep, this lets me sleep until my normal 5am. Not OTC but insurance picks it up. Lessons learned from a sleep lab: Trazodone does not adversely aby S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
QuoteN-OS X-tasy! I've always gone HMO on my medical and PPO on my dental. While I've only had to see a doctor once in the last decade or so, I go to the dentist at least twice a year and want to have the best/most options at my disposal. I also find that the best dentists take PPO insurance but may not take HMO. Good advice. Thanks.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals

The Bose noise cancellation system is indeed outstanding. I prefer the overall sound of the Sennheiser PXC450 (same price new, picked up for $113 used-it's been around for years), but there's no doubt the Bose noise cancellation is far superior. With the Sennheiser, low frequencies disappear like magic, but higher frequencies (e.g. TV) are still quite audible. If I'd found the Bose QC35 for $1by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals

In England for my honeymoon in 2011, I found the country to be a friendly multi-racial country, which is quite different from the England I was born and grew up in back in the late 1960's-70's. At that time, racism was par for the course. As a half-Indian/half-American-mongrel hybrid, hardly a week would go by without my hearing "Go back to your own country," finding a brick thrown thby S. Finding out afterwards like that must be extremely aggravating. When I ask if everything is OK and am met with hushed whispers followed by "Yes, everything is great," usually someone has died or is being taken out by stretcher. At least the hushed whispers are a giveaway, and I can get the truth through badgering, but why is it necessary? Do they not understand the meaning of family?by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
2009 VW Jetta 2.0T, stickshift. Looks like a standard Jetta, but has a 200hp engine and handles like a dream. I'll get one when my 2006 2.0T bites the dust, and not before - I'm 100% satisfied with this auto.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
I'm so sorry. My thoughts and wishes are with you and your family. "Those whom we have loved never really leave us. They live on forever in our hearts, and cast their radiant light onto our every shadow." ~Sylvana Rossettiby S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
Funny, but a number of these comments already apply to VW. Examples: The proprietary issues ("Don't bring your *@# car here again; go to the dealer!") and the unrequested firmware updates that change the way my trip computer works.by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
About 45,000, per Thunderbird. Approximately 99% of those are since 2003, as I thinned out my 1997 hotmail account that year. I just took a quick look-through; man, does Newegg ever send out loads of emails! Maybe that's why I prefer OWC (that's for you, Larry!)by S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
Happy birthday! If your doc feels it's the heart, best to follow through with recommendations. Don't be too afraid of the dye -- they're pretty good at preventing renal complications these days, and most of the cardiologists I know prefer to avoid such procedures in risky cases, unless the benefits of the procedure clearly outweigh the risks. You could always get a quick second-opinion consuby S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
In upstate SC, we're expecting mid 80's tomorrow. Comfy 72 right now though. I have to admit that I miss the cold Novembers of upstate NY, but winters in SC are much more pleasant overall. It's fun to watch the drama when a shrinking of snow occurs, though. Granted, we don't have the same amount of equipment to clear snow, but the massive school cancellations that occur when there isby S. Pupp - Tips and Deals
