My wife spends hours every month entering everything into Quicken. She says it's so she can see how much we're spending on groceries, entertainment, etc, but in the 17 years we've been a couple, I've never seen her actually do that. Like Spiff, I just look at the transactions online to be sure all is as it should be. I don't miss Quicken, and I certainly don't miss the checkbook register.

Whatever Trump says is the truth, as far as his worshippers are concerned. He can say two conflicting things, and they won’t see any problem with that. In the same sentence, they will claim that Covid is a liberal hoax and praise Trump for saving lives with Operation Warp Speed. I’m both impressed and appalled by the mental gymnastics it takes to be a loyal Trump soldier.

He declared martial law in a foreign country. Maybe we can cure the flow of illegal drugs into our country by declaring martial law in Mexico, now that there’s a precedent. Maybe we should declare martial law in Canada just because we can, now that it’s a thing countries do to each other.

I’m on Monterey now, and haven’t booted into MacOS on my MBP more than twice since updating. My MBP is now primarily a Windows 10 machine. Very little of my Mac software runs in Monterey, and I get messages when I boot up telling me that the rest will not function in future versions of MacOS. I’m not out of the picture entirely though - I have an M1 Mac Mini used as a JRiver server.

#1 - Peak PKC0TH. It comes with a lead-acid battery and 100W car headlight bulb. I replaced the bulb with a 20W LED for extended run-time, and the battery with a LiFePO4 battery so that it doesn't matter too much if you forget to recharge it for a couple years. Quotebtfc I’ve switched to using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries in such situations. Same here. They don't leak, and they stay fresh longer. You can get adapters to use AA batteries in place of D cells, but of course the cells won't last as long when in use in that setting.

I have an antenna in the attic, with splitters feeding a few HD HomeRun tuners. In my setting, I needed an active splitter/preamp to receive ABC (nearest broadcast station is close to 60 miles away). Also in my setting, precise direction was necessary to receive ABC.
