Quotemrlynn Welcome back! I was wondering about you just the other day. I'm still using the log splitter I bought from you a few years ago, though I now wish I had a bigger one. Still running your neighborhood fire pit soirees? And how did the T-shirt business pan out? /Mr Lynn That was a nice little splitter but the more wood you do, the more you'll really benefit from a full size one.by Jack D. - Tips and Deals
Quotespace-time So how are the dogs? how is the t-shirt printing business? Down to two, Louie (6) and Woody (14.5). I'm not sure how much longer Woody will be around but the most annoying ones tend to live the longest! As for the shirts...not so good. I blew the printhead on the Epson 4880 that does the imaging and don't know if I want to spring for a new one at $1500. Anyone got an old 4880by Jack D. - Tips and Deals

OK, it's good to be back here in the MRF Star Dust Lounge! I'd like to thank space-time for encouraging me to come out of retirement and rejoin the Mac universe. I don't have much to say right now other than all is well and I'll see if I can get back into the regular hangout/posting thing again. I'll be answering questions and signing autographs in the lobby so...see you there! <APPLAUSE&gby Jack D. - Tips and Deals
So the wife was just letting the dogs out for the final time tonight and Louie came to the back door with a "friend". When he came in she thought he had a stick and seeing as how we have a strict 'no chewing sticks in the house' rule she went to take it from him. Then she noticed that this stick had a long tail and beady eyes. Apparently Louie found a dead rat and was planning on eitheby Jack D. - Tips and Deals

My Grandma was born on August (she pronounced it ow-goost) 21, 1899. She used to tell me stories of what it was like being chased out of her willage in the Ukraine by the Russian army. Then her trip to America via Ellis Island as a 21 yo girl alone and having to survive in this country before social services were available. cbelt3 is right. So many great stories lost forever. Quotejdc I can't stand peeps that use their blinker in the turn lane. You are already in the turn lane, I don't need you blinker too. I'm gonna give that a big negatory. I've been behind people in the left/straight/right turn lane that at the last minute have decided they really meant that they were doing 'none of the above'. I must say that there's a name I've never heard before, Crenshanda. But I'm sure it'll fit right in at whichever correctional or mental facility they send her to. Sanity among the population seems to be slipping away, I think we're all packed too tight and stressed and this kind of behavior is the result.by Jack D. - Tips and Deals
In MA the person entering the highway MUST yield to moving traffic. That means that you need to slow down on the ramp (even if someone else is on your tail) until it's safe to merge into traffic. That being said it's apparently totally the opposite in NY state. When I'm in NY visiting family (Binghamton area) I see people in the right lane moving over to the left to allow people entering theby Jack D. - Tips and Deals
Great way to get rid of old produce - sell it to someone too lazy to be bothered to pick out his/her own. I don't know what Walmart grocery is like in your neck of the woods but in the two that I've looked at it was dismal. All the fruits and veggies were beat up and many had soft spots. Onions were sprouting and some already rotten. Meats just didn't look natural in the package. No thanks, Iby Jack D. - Tips and Deals

The photos look sort of stock and seem to be in nicer neighborhoods. Here's a similar listing in Boston CL Same kind of vehicle for $5000. Quotesaintyohann I do know that Apple added a second mic to the back of the 2nd gen mini for better AV calls and Siri. Is your issue that Siri isn't understanding you, or that it's not activating? Sometimes we get a response but most of the time nothing. This is with the ipad in her hand and speaking to it. Otherwise the 1st gen still works great.by Jack D. - Tips and Deals
Wife has an iPad Mini 1st gen iOS 9.3.5 and we can't seem to get Siri to work consistently. Could this be a limitation of the old iron or possibly a WiFi issue even though the signal is excellent? I don't have any experience with Siri because we don't use iPhones (yes, we're heathen Android users) and she's got the only iOS device in the house. Quotecbelt3 Or... should I get her something else ? It's a well known fact that women like vacuum cleaners, a new set of cookware, slippers and gallon size bottles of shampoo as gifts. You might want to reconsider one of these so you don't look foolish when you give her the iPad. The choice is yours of course but I'm just trying to help you with things I learned before the divorce. If anyone's interested, the whole 4+ hour grilling of Mr. Stumpf is here on YouTube . I think it's necessary to show these uncomfortable moments in their entirety. Came home yesterday to the wife complaining about a spinning beach ball and hangs on the Mini (late 2009, C2D 2.0, 8gb RAM, Snow Leopard). Firefox was open so I asked if she had the usual 300 tabs open and she said no, only 6. So I did a hard shutdown and rebooted. I also use Yahoo as a "throwaway" address. When do these companies become accountable to us, their customers, when they have a problem? If you think about it, they haven't said a word about this while some of us were hacked and possibly financially compromised during this time. QuoteOmbligo The SX-40 does not have interchangeable lenses. You have to use the built in Macro Mode.
