I like using Firefox for a few reasons. Not the least of which is that I am on a PC at work, and I like being able to use the same browser at home and in the office. Just one little way to make life simpler. Plus using the brushed metal theme makes it appear that I am on a Mac when browsing at work. And oh yes, I love Adblock.by $tevie - Tips and Deals

I agree that the buyer seems rude, arrogant, smug and a bully. I don't know about that little girl crack, but oh well. However, I still agree with Greg about the wording. I think the lesson here is to not editorialize or speculate in the Return Policy. In the auction description, okay I guess, but you should never have stated that the item needed a new logic board in the Return Policy. If forby $tevie - Tips and Deals
Well then, don't call it another forum, just call it a "web space". Happy?by $tevie - Tips and Deals
I had to give up my preferred way to read the forum, threaded view, ages ago due to the loooooooooong stickies. It's nice that people want to get together and all that, but I agree that a third forum, concentrating on gatherings and other such announcements, might be a way around a big potential irritant. The people organizing a get-together can put a link in their sigs: Mob Town MR Luncheon,by $tevie - Tips and Deals
That email makes him sound like a real horse's ass. I hope you are able to resolve this to your satisfaction. And I agree with the others, don't communicate with him any further.by $tevie - Tips and Deals

I second dmann's motion. Very emphatically. I would actually prefer no emoticons at all in a Sticky heading, but I've already made that clear elsewhere.by $tevie - Tips and Deals
I vote for NO emoticons AT ALL in any Stickies. If someone can't see a Sticky that has been up there for like half a century, screw'em.by $tevie - Tips and Deals
My point was that the logic board information should not have been in the Return Policy. In my mind, the information about replacing the board has been inextricably linked to the return policy. And I don't considered myself to be a whacko or a moron. Although some might argue with that.by $tevie - Tips and Deals
"This G4 Power Mac is being sold AS IS. There is no warranty offered. It will NOT boot up. The logic board must be repaired or replaced. There is NO warranty offered or implied." I hate to say it, but that language in the middle certainly makes it sound like replacing the logic board will make it work again. I don't think it should have been included in the return policy. I just went and read an article about this so I would be up to speed. Why didn't he try to break the holding-your-breath record before he was all wasted from being underwater? I guess he thought this way was more dramatic. I think a stunt that lasts more than an hour or two is just totally self-indulgent and not at all "entertaining". People should ignore him and maybe he will goby $tevie - Tips and Deals
I would say "Arrested Development", but I've already got two seasons on DVD so I would probably want to have a complete DVD collection. (My own little form of OCD.) "The Tracey Ullman Show" would be nice.by $tevie - Tips and Deals
This is the second thread I remember seeing about Hanso. I have no idea what Hanso is or why it is being discussed here. Can someone enlighten me?by $tevie - Tips and Deals
This was the big favorite when I was a girl. Then Kodak used it, and I suppose that tainted it. But now it's been so long that I doubt anyone remembers the commercials, so it might be good to go again: Turn Around - Kingston Trio Where are you going my little one, little one, Where are you going my baby my own? I thought eBay's rules were that the buyer has to make contact with the seller within 3 days, and payment within 10 days. Can sellers make up their own rules that override the eBay policies?by $tevie - Tips and Deals

Has he tried hitting "Command Z"? To me he seems to be a tiny cog who decided to masquerade as a big cog, and we cynically allowed it so as to make it look like at least somebody was going to pay for 9/11. Oops, bad idea, Moussaoui. Next time get a clue.by $tevie - 'Friendly' Political Ranting

Just curious, do you expect a refund from the theatre if you don't like a movie? I don't see how Blockbuster can offer refunds for "bad" movies. It's so subjective. And then you run the risk of everyone coming in and claiming they hated some movie they rented, just to see if they could get a refund. I agree with chas_m to a certain extent. No need to apologize, Newton. It's just frustrating because I saw a couple of references to Karadar that made it sound like it had some good music, and I'd have liked to download some. Here's some classical music from Baltimore's own Peabody Institute. I found this through your new link. :-Dby $tevie - Tips and Deals

What would you do on a 13" MacBook Pro that would require more power? It doesn't seem like a very good choice for gaming or for working on large Photoshop files. Just curious.by $tevie - Tips and Deals
I thought I'd give it a try after reading the blurb below. But my god, I cannot figure it out. It sends you to something called Cocoa and I have no idea how one gets back to the downloads from there. Now I am afraid I registered in the wrong place, I can't even tell. Too bad. Karadar Karadar has a big collection of downloadable mp3s.
