Before I get totally caught going down the rabbit hole of all the companies out there, does anyone have a service they like? Been looking at the ones that charge around $80 a year, Thanks!by mspace - Tips and Deals

I use Connexus Credit Union for the higher CD rates, but they also have good checking. You just need to have a savings account with $5 to stay a member. Otherwise I have NO other connections to it.by mspace - Tips and Deals

Quotesekker I’m not worried about any phone sold in the last three years. Samsung and LG have OLEDs down. I would check the screen of any used phone if buy regardless. Of course, checking the screen. But what is the average shelf life of that type of screen? What's the oldest screen of that type ok to buy, say having been used 6 hours a day average?by mspace - Tips and Deals
In my learning about all the good/bad with OLED screens on phones, it was mentioned that they dim with use and time. How does that affect buying/selling a used OLED phone? Anything one should be aware of? Thanks for the continuing education!by mspace - Tips and Deals
QuoteRolando If it is a concern for you, the iPhone11 is a great phone, still with the best battery life! Unfortunately the size of that phone is too big which is why the mini is so attractive. Enough that I might allow myself to buy new, or wait for an Apple refurb. Going to Best Buy later to check how my eyes are with any flicker by over dimming a demo. I guess my biggest concern is if itby mspace - Tips and Deals
Hmmm. . . Burn in. Didn’t know about that. I guess we’ll be staying with the 7 unless there’s an immediate compelling issue.by mspace - Tips and Deals
So, there we were checking out at the Apple store whether we wanted to go with the 12 or 12 mini (from an iPhone 7). Were heading towards a mini, decided to do some more comparisons. Found some good reviews and one that mentioned the inherent screen flicker that happens with OLED, something I knew nothing about. We are sensitive to these kinds of things and it could be a deal breaker. I have nby mspace - Tips and Deals
We REALLY like our Airweave mattress. EXTREMELY firm. Bought it a couple of years ago. they have changed a bit, but I would absolutely go back when it's time to replace.by mspace - Tips and Deals
Pfizer #2 next week. The Other is fully cooked with Moderna. Just booked an appt for the super in my building. Took a bit. For those having issues booking, there have been FaceBook groups popping up for different states/areas/cities where people are helping others to book and posting tips and info. The NY one was very useful to me.by mspace - Tips and Deals

Quotesekker I like High Sierra as a nice MacOS. If it’s easy to test using an external boot drive, give it a try. Thanks. A better choice than Mojave if I want to not deal with 64 bit only right now?by mspace - Tips and Deals
QuoteSarcany Shot in the dark... Under Sierra, try this: Hold down Command+Option while clicking on the BT menu in the menu bar. This reveals the Debug menu. From the Debug menu, opt to reset the BT module. Thanks. Already did that a number of times with a number of other troubleshooting tricks - deleting the pairing, rebooting, deleting bluetooth prefs, etc. I hope the designers figurby mspace - Tips and Deals
I have contacted them. Still waiting for a response beyond the troubleshooting they sent. It's a mouse developed via Indiegogo, so I know there's some risk involved. I'm pleased it does work on the other computer, so I'm willing to give them some time to get back to me. I tend to upgrade if enough things seem to demand it. Not quite there yet, so thought I'd see if there were other things Iby mspace - Tips and Deals
Running 2 MacBook Pros, mid-2014, on Sierra 10.12.6 with no issues. All current bluetooth devices work well. Got a bluetooth mouse I would like to use. It pairs, but will not move the cursor. I have 2 of these mice and have tested each with the 2 MacBook Pros. Researched and performed all troubleshooting with bluetooth. Cursor will not respond, even though the device pairs. I had an excellent job done with an implant at Columbia Dental School, and WAY cheaper than just "on the street". It is a post-grad program. My "student" was from Japan, where he said they didn't have this training there. Of course everything was supervised by attending professors. At the time, a full implant post and crown there was going to be up to $2400. Just to removeby mspace - Tips and Deals
For a full 88 keys, I wold look at the Casio Privia. Has great touch. Find a used one and without all the extras, even cheaper.by mspace - Tips and Deals
QuoteMarkintosh And if your not talking about meal kit services, but are talking about a delivered restaurant meal... Please consider not using app based delivery, instead working with the restaurant for delivery. While many restaurants are forced to enroll in app programs for delivery just to stay competitive, it's not a win for them. They have to give a significant percentage to the deliveryby mspace - Tips and Deals

QuoteS. Pupp I use these: Lightdims Original Strenth They make the LED’s tolerable. I think the trend towards overly bright LED’s began when the blue ones came out. I remember that my Canopus firewire device 20 years ago was too bright even to use as a night light. This.by mspace - Tips and Deals

QuotePeterB QuoteRolando As a lifelong Trekker, I wanted to like it. I tried to like it, then tried to watch it. Then gave up in disgust. I recommend re-watching any other Trek, including the 70s animated Trek over STD. The writing is about the same level, but the characters on the Animated Trek are more likable.
