anyonle else undecided about Leopard?
#11
i'm drooling but it looks like i need to cool my jets. there's the issue of whether FM 6 will run on it. i need that app but not enough to upgrade to a newer version of FM. then, i'm unclear as to whether Classic apps (on a PPC mini) will run with Leopard. i have one homeschooling app that only runs in classic and is the only homeschooling tracking app made for a Mac. my son is jonesing to go to conventional school for high school next year; if he does, sigh, maybe i'll console myself by getting a new mac w/ leopard.

if there are any programmers out there, the Mac homeschooling community could really use an OS X assignment planning and tracking application!

Without filemaker support, Leopard is a no-go for me.

I purchased FMP 8.5 in June, and they are not even promising a patch for Leopard - only for FMP 9.

Having to buy FMP 9 to go to Leopard is a pretty darn expensive OS upgrade.

Fortunately, most of the lab machines have FMP 9 on them. If I had purchased 20 FMP 8.5 licenses, I would be really pissed off with Apple / 'Filemaker, Inc' right now.
