Chrysler has had transmission issues in minivans as long as they have been making minivans.
I'd rather have to do a transmission rebuild at 100k miles than be plagued by engine and electrical issues for the lifetime of the vehicle.
Biggest "problem" with Chrysler minivans is that they use their own proprietary transmission fluid...can't use GM or "universal" ATF w/o major problems.
~150,000 miles on my 3rd generation Dodge Grand Caravan & only just now needed a leaking solenoid pack replaced...for DIYers, Transmission Shift Solenoid Pack Service Kit w/ Speed Sensors A604 41TE 21380 is ~$100 off eBay...people take these to 300,000 miles...Pacifica redesign has proven less reliable.
