this is what people like Gaetz and DeSantis are fighting for, to reap the benefits bestowed on him by his cult. alas, they don't have nearly the goofy-emcee, comic-like persona that has made him a hit on the moron circuit.

The flock isn't going anywhere. They were there before Trump showed up and harnessed them so they'll be there once he departs. They represent a truly dark slice of American politics, a slice that was given voice and permission to spread the hate that was always their motivation.

It's Southern and Plains State politics writ large.
