more about Zimmerman's Dad:
“Robert J. Zimmerman served as a full-time magistrate from 2000-2006. Please be advised that in Virginia magistrates are judicial officers, but they are not considered "judges" and do not possess trial jurisdiction. More detailed information on the role of the magistrate in Virginia is available on Virginia's Judicial System Website .” Read more: http://www.abcactionnews.com/dpp/news/cr...z1qXGb2n9U "What does a magistrate do? (in Virginia) The main job of the magistrate is to provide an independent, unbiased review of complaints brought to the office by police officers, sheriffs, deputies, and citizens and determine whether there is probable cause for a warrant or summons to be issued. “Probable cause” is a reasonable belief based on facts that would cause a reasonable person to feel that the accused committed the offense. Magistrates can issue arrest warrants, summonses, bonds, search warrants, subpoenas, and civil warrants. Another important duty is to conduct bond hearings to set bail in instances in which an individual is charged with a criminal offense. A magistrate may also accept prepayments for traffic infractions and minor misdemeanors." http://www.virginiarules.com/virginia-ru...ial-system

It looks like both Zims, Sonny and Pops, are given to exaggerating their roles.

Enhanced version of the original video may show injury to the back of Zimmerman's head.
A newly enhanced version of police video taken on the night of the Trayvon Martin shooting more clearly shows a possible gash or injury on the back of shooter George Zimmerman's head. I can't tell what the marks are. We'll have to wait for more leaked evidence to stir the speculation pot.
